When you think thoughts that are not in alignment with who you really are,
you immediately disconnect from your True self.
This is why such emotions as fear and worry feel so bad.
It is not the emotion that causes pain;
it is the fact that you cannot be thinking thoughts
that create the feeling of fear or worry
and still stay connected to your True Self -
because your True Self does not think these thoughts.
The fact that your True Self doesn't think thoughts
that create "negative" emotion must tell you something.
Instead of trying to change outside circumstance,
simply let go the thoughts that create "negative" emotion,
and allow yourself to naturally re-align with who you really are.
Here is a prayer/affirmation that might be right for you:
Today, I allow my True Self to think all my thoughts
and inspire all my actions. When I experience a "negative"
emotion, I will realign my thinking through love and forgiveness.
Choose to Experience a Glorious Day.
