Responsibility for others

Nanice Ellis

When we confuse love with responsibility, we limit the possibility for growth.
Feeling responsible for someone is actually seeing them as powerless;
just as feeling sorry for someone is a judgment.
We don't know what is best for another - ever.
When we feel responsible, it is as if we have the power and they don't.
This can't be good for anyone.
When you let go of responsibility, you can be responsive in a whole new empowering way!
What would happen if you saw everyone as powerful
to solve their own challenges and rise to any occasion?
How would that change your relationship with them?
How would that change you?

In grace & gratitude,
Nanice Ellis
